The Feb. 26 program presented by PPPGP has been canceled.

If you paid for the program with a credit card, the payment will NOTbe processed. If you paid for the program with a check, we will mail the check back to you.

Our next program is scheduled for March 19. We will send you more information about that program in the coming days. The February program will be rescheduled for later in the year.

From taxes to life insurance to family wealth planning, our donors rely on a multitude of planning professionals whose advice can have a significant impact on philanthropy. How do we become a productive and organic part of those relationships? Come hear from our expert panel of philanthropic and financial planning professionals what the best ways are to work with your donors’ advisors to maximize gifts, improve the donor’s experience, and create relationships within the advising communities. You’ll take away solid working steps to foster relationships with donors and advisors alike.

“2010 Economic Outlook – A Perspective from the Philadelphia Fed”

The economy directly impacts the charitable giving environment. Luke Tilley, a Regional Economic Advisor with the Federal Reserve Bank in Philadelphia, will provide an overview of both the national and regional economic outlook for 2010. He also will address trends in specific economic indicators. Understanding what lies ahead for the economy better equips us to help donors and clients achieve their philanthropic goals.

“Insider Tips: Benefiting from Enhanced Advisor Relationships”

Phil Cubeta is the Sallie B. and William B. Wallace Chair in Philanthropy at the American College, a role in which he develops curricula for the Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy designation. Prior to joining the American College, Phil was Chief of Staff for The Nautilus Group, a service of New York Life, located in Dallas, Texas, providing estate, business, and philanthropic strategies to affluent clients through 200 of the company’s top agents. He is a Past-President of the Dallas Council of Partnership for Philanthropic Planning (formerly NCPG) and is widely published and quoted on philanthropic advisory issues in a variety of sources.

Heather Gee, CFRE, CAP has been Vice President for Development and Donor Relations for The Philadelphia Foundation since 1999. Ms. Gee is responsible for managing the asset development activities of the $275 million community foundation. She has more than 25 years of experience in asset development in a variety of roles and non profit organizations. She now focuses her efforts on educating the advisor and donor communities about how to incorporate philanthropy and legacy planning into their practice as well as working with donors to help them understand their own personal passions and how they can make their money make a difference.

Steve Mills, JD, Vice President and Portfolio Manager. Mr. Mills is a member of the Trust Administrative Committee and Portfolio Review Committee at Haverford Trust. As a Portfolio Manager he develops client relationships, manages investment portfolios and participates on the Investment Selection Committee. He is a licensed attorney and a member of the Pennsylvania and Philadelphia Bar Associations. Additionally he serves on the Young Executive Committee of the Pyramid Club and is a board member and Secretary of the West Point Society of Philadelphia. Mr. Mills graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point and spent five years as an Officer in Army Intelligence. He attained the rank of captain and served in Arizona, Georgia, Kuwait and South Korea. Following military service, Mr. Mills earned a law degree from the Villanova University School of Law and a Master’s of Business Administration from Villanova Business School. He currently resides in Philadelphia.

“2010 Economic Outlook – A Perspective from the Philadelphia Fed”

Luke Tilley is a regional economic advisor with the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia. His responsibilities include working directly with the business and banking community to understand emerging trends and business concerns in the Bank’s District, which includes eastern Pennsylvania, southern New Jersey, and Delaware. Additionally, Tilley delivers presentations about the national and regional economy, monetary policy, and the role of the Federal Reserve.

Before joining the Bank, Tilley was a senior economist at IHS Global Insight. His primary duties included conducting state and metropolitan economic forecasts, building econometric models, and managing programs to prepare data for quarterly forecasting models. Currently, Tilley is a member of the National Association for Business Economics. He is also a member of the Philadelphia Council for Business Economics.

Tilley received a bachelor’s degree in economics and history from James Madison University and a master’s degree in economics from Temple University. He will be receiving his Ph.D. in economics from Temple University in 2010.
